Bath Time Redefined

This page has been edited for content 8/9/09

Jillian and Elliott had lots of fun sharing bath time for the first time. There was plenty of splashing and laughing! We put Elliott in a swim diaper to avoid any, well, need to change the bath water, until he actually was bathed.

He looks so happy to have his Ducky!

All smiles!

You can see his swim diaper a little.

Where's Ducky? Silly Jilly put my Ducky on my head!

Elliott's "point" looks like two fingers and a thumb, but we still get the idea. He likes the camera!
However, the second time we did a sibling bath, Elliott wasn't as confident. He wouldn't sit down for more than a moment and constantly wanted my hands on him. Thankfully, he survived, and Jillian introduced him to a new toy from the movie "Monsters, Inc.", Mike, the one-eyed monster. Elliott loves putting him in his mouth! I don't expect another duet bath soon, but maybe in the future.

Catching Smiles

Elliott's favorite cabinet to get into, but one of the ones we can't lock yet!

Someone commented this week that his nose is orange.

This is what Jillian looks like after a bath.

We finally got some great pictures the other day of Elliott smiling! Jillian likes to smile, too. She has to do 20 minutes of reading EVERY day, so she is on chapter books now. Jillian is doing a great job reading!

Christmas by Mail

Thank you, Aunt Lesley and Uncle Eric! Thank you Ava!
Jillian was thrilled to open her gift and find "A Snoodles Tale" from the VeggieTales series. We had watched at Masha and Alex's condo back in the summer and Jillian said that one was "her favorite".

Elliott, on the other hand, was excited, but very pokey opening his gifts.
He seemed to look up for help. Jillian finally came to the rescue.

Elliott got some fun textured and colorful balls! He really likes throwing them and chasing them around the kitchen.
He also got a really cute little hammer that makes noise when you wave it. You don't even have to hit anything, just wave it in the direction and it sounds so funny! Thank you!!!

Ok, so here I am adding some text. It seems that when we try to print the blog to send to Grandma Locke in Langhorne,

that there are issues. I tried to print it, but I wanted to make sure it didn't cut anything off, so I tried print preview and much was missing!

The good part was, that when I "shrunk to fit" it, I started to see more pictures. They weren't gone, they just didn't fit.

Now this makes no sense to me, either. So, what I am doing is trying to fix the problem. I was noticing that I can't add text anywhere past the first few pictures, so I'm hoping that if I do, it will help.
We shall see...
In my efforts to do so much as to hit the enter key to try to move down, down it does go, all the way to one of the last pictures. However, that doesn't make any sense either. I am beginning to wonder if this whole blog thing will ever become easier. I have noticed that posting anything to blogger is a pain.
I have so much trouble adding things and moving pictures around, that it is very discouraging.
Ok, so now I'm typing. The funny part about all this formatting that I do when I am composing or editing a page never shows up the same way on the actual blog when it is finished. Ok, so there was no text between these pictures. I am hoping that it is just something I did when I uploaded the pictures and not something crazier.
